General Purpose Labor

General Purpose Laborer Job Purpose:

General Purpose Laborer is responsible for break-down, processing, and packaging of customer contracted paper-based orders.

General Purpose Laborer Job Duties:

  • Break down paper packs from skids
  • Hand collation of items
  • Feed and retrieve products on conveyers
  • Clear jams on equipment
  • Packages orders in cartons or finished packaging
  • Ensures that orders are accurate
  • Ensures warehouse goals are met
  • Maintains a high level of health and safety standards
  • Performs other general warehouse duties as needed

General Purpose Laborer Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience Working in a Warehouse Preferred
  • Keen Attention to Detail

  • Ability to Work in a Fast Paced, and maintain a pace equal to or exceeding equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to stand and stay on feet for long periods of time, including full 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
  • Dexterity to utilize fingers, hands, arms, shoulders, back and legs to feed, retrieve and load materials
  • Indoor, nonconditioned environment
  • Work, on or near moving mechanical parts
  • Some fumes, dust or airborne particles
